Publisher FAQ
Does EHS use CPC or CPM ads?
Primarily, we use CPM ads, which pay based on the number of ad impressions delivered. CPC ads, which pay when a user clicks on them, are also used to some extent, but primarily delivered on a focused run of network.
Does EHS use sponsorships?
If there are highly targeted areas and the publisher permits and is willing to assist with implementation, we sell sponsorships, where applicable.
What are the benefits of being a part of the EHS network?
While your site can be sold individually for it's targeted healthcare categories, it can also be a part of larger campaigns. For example, when a company wants to buy advertising space on several sites involving their targeted topic. "Allergy Targeting" your site may not have enough inventory by itself for a transaction to occur, but coupled with other allergy areas across the network, we offer a sizeable audience.
What is the normal time span for a website to implement advertisements?
That depends on how your site is set up. Implementation ranges from a few hours to a few days.
How much control do I have with ads on the site?
As the website owner, while we will make recommendations, you have complete control over the ad sizes and where the ads will appear on your pages. You can also reject any campaign for any reason. Rejection of a campaign rarely happens because our focus is on quality, relevant advertisers.
How do I insert advertisements on my site?
We automatically generate HTML code for your website based on your URL and questions answered by you. You then insert that code on your pages as instructed, and your ads will be delivered to those pages.
What size advertisements does EHS use?
Primarily, we use 468x60 pixels Standard Advertising Banners, 120x600 pixels Narrow Skyscrapers as well as larger format 300 x 250 pixel Rectangles and 728 x 90 Leader Boards. Complete list of advertisement sizes.
How many advertisements can I put on one page?
You can use as many advertisements as you want within reason. We generally recommend two per page, depending on the layout of the page. At least one "Combo" Unit (which give us the flexibility of delivering one of two different sizes) and one Large Ad Unit. Ad section depends largely on the content and layout of your pages.
How does EHS target advertisements to a content specific area?
By using your URL or a definition you pass to us during set-up, the ad serving system is able to identify the content on your page as well as the type of ad that would fit the content. Each time a person accesses a page, the ads change. Targeting is conducted in many different ways. More information on Targeting.
What type of reporting does EHS provide?
Each month the site gets a detailed financial report as well as the ability to access online reports that measure the delivery of the campaigns 24 hours a day. More info on Reporting
When does a website get paid?
It will take 60-90 days to receive the first check. After that, you will receive a check once a month, provided you have earned at least $100 USD. Cheks are sent by the 15th of each month.
Preferential allocation?
We don't own any of our own healthcare sites, so the ads are distributed evenly depending on the advertiser's purchases. Some ad-serving companies, which claim to be Networks, also own and operate their own healthcare portals. Naturally, this represents a major conflict of interest, whereby they are motivated to deliver the most premium paying campaigns on their own sites.
